1000 chairs, 1000 trees: when Design revitalizes urban life
In the heart of Cologne, vibrant red Luxembourg chairs have transformed Neumarkt, just outside our German showroom, inviting people to pause, sit together and connect. Through its support of hdak – Haus der Architektur Köln – Fermob is helping bring the "1000 Chairs, 1000 Trees" initiative to life.
Chairs encourage conversation. Trees improve air quality.

To mark the occasion, Fermob supplied around one hundred Luxembourg chairs, each customised with a screen-printed version of the project's identity by our Custom Lab team. This summer installation can be experienced on Neumarkt until the end of September, just outside our German showroom.
