A family-owned winery chooses Fermob for its wine bar project
An outdoor design project in the heart of the German vineyards
At this winery in the heart of the Palatinate region, an appreciation for both good taste and beauty is truly a family affair. Since 1920, the Bauer family has been crafting characterful wines with passion, prioritising sustainable viticulture.
Alexander and Martin, who represent the latest generation of bold and creative winemakers, have recently embarked on a comprehensive modernisation of the estate. Among the projects is the creation of a contemporary wine bar welcoming visitors into a space where design, vineyard landscapes, and tastings complement one another harmoniously.
The goal: to create a warm, inviting place that opens onto nature, reflecting the winery’s philosophy. In harmony with the contemporary architecture, the outdoor spaces—terrace and garden—needed to offer optimal comfort while blending elegantly into the vineyard environment.

At the heart of the Mediterranean garden, which hosts events of up to 60 people, the Bellevie and Bistro collections withstand intensive use during the tourist season while remaining practical and adaptable.

We chose a combination of colours that reflects the identity of the winery and pairs beautifully with the architecture of the wine shop and the natural surroundings. » Martin Bauer, owner of the winery.
