RATP Habitat head office,
Paris

A head office in central Paris that combines architecture with landscaping

Offices designed to promote community living

In 2021, architects Atelier du Pont delivered the head office of RATP Habitat, the real estate subsidiary of the RATP group, located in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.

Inspired by contemporary lifestyles and new ways of working, the architects designed a wood-framed building built in staggered layers, with terraces and gardens to ensure a range of outdoor spaces and rooftops for people to get together. These different outdoor spaces provide a variety of options for the 80 employees to work, have lunch or spend informal moments together in the open air.

The building received the Excellence sustainability and environmental quality rating, which inspired the choice of suppliers.

Fermob furniture is found on three levels of outdoor spaces and fits well with the urban vegetable garden and greenhouses that are used as meeting rooms.

The LUXEMBOURG collection (designed by Frédéric Sofia) is perfectly at home here in soft tones of Willow Green, Honey and Cactus. The employees get together outdoors, seated on the LUXEMBOURG chairs to eat around the RIBAMBELLE tables, or on the lounge version on some levels, particularly when the weather is good. These two aluminium collections are light and easy to move around, encouraging the community living and mobility that are apparent in every detail of this project.
