FERMOB recognises the importance of ensuring the confidentiality of personal data relating to individuals and undertakes to protect such data in accordance with the applicable regulations on personal data protection in Europe and France, in particular the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (European Regulation known as the “GDPR”), as well as the French legal provisions subsequently adopted.

FERMOB may collect personal data when you browse the Site, create your Customer account, make purchases on the website, use the FERMOB Lighting application (application available for download in app stores), complete contact forms, subscribe to our news updates, create an account on the website, place an order, or send an email directly.
FERMOB ensures that it only collects and processes Data that is strictly necessary in relation to the purpose of the processing carried out.
FERMOB may also collect Personal Data when individuals browse the Site, in particular through cookies (FERMOB invites you to consult the cookie management policy to configure them here).
When collecting your personal data, FERMOB informs you whether the data is mandatory or optional, the purpose of the collection, and the rights you have to refuse the commercial use of your data by FERMOB.

- Minors’ data:
We do not collect any Data from minors.
However, if ever we are informed or learn that Personal Data of a minor has been collected, such Personal Data will be immediately and permanently deleted.
Purposes of processing
In the context of the online sale of its Products, FERMOB may collect personal data relating to Customers, necessary for the registration, processing and tracking of orders, including in particular:
- title, surname, first name, delivery address, billing address, email address and telephone number;
- information relating to the computer and connection environment, such as IP address or connection logs.
The fields whose completion is necessary for the processing and tracking of the Customer’s order are indicated by an asterisk on the forms.
The Data collected is used by FERMOB to:
- perform obligations related to our business activity (to provide you with access to the features and services to which you have subscribed);
- manage online orders and purchases;
- manage deliveries;
- respond to your various requests or perform a contract concluded with you;
- manage the online service (notifications in the event of service suspension, etc.);
- comply with legal and regulatory provisions in order, where applicable, to ensure FERMOB’s compliance with its legal obligations;
- enforce its contracts;
- resolve potential disputes;
- defend FERMOB’s rights in the context of legal proceedings.
Other possible uses of Customer Data by FERMOB may include:
- sending personalised or non-personalised commercial offers, whether to FERMOB Customers or simply in the context of newsletter subscription, if the Customer has expressly given consent to receive such communications;
- carrying out statistical studies and analysing browsing and purchasing habits on the Site by FERMOB Customers, if the Customer has accepted the use and placement of audience measurement cookies (more information regarding cookies on this page);
- geolocation, with your consent, to assist in locating FERMOB retailers and stores near the Customer’s location, provided that the Customer shares their location via cookies or their browser.
Data collected indirectly will only be used to monitor the volume, type and configuration of traffic using the Site, to develop its design and layout, and for other administrative and planning purposes, and more generally to improve the service that FERMOB offers you.
This Data is collected solely for the purposes listed above and each time you use one of our features or services.
Data processing in the context of abandoned cart reminders
When you are logged into your account on our site and abandon a shopping cart, we may send you up to three reminder emails to enable you to complete your order. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in improving the user experience and reducing cart abandonment. These emails do not subscribe you to our newsletter and are not used for commercial prospecting purposes. You may unsubscribe from these reminders at any time via the link provided for this purpose in each email.
Recipients of Personal Data
The personal data collected by FERMOB is intended for its own use and that of its partners.
FERMOB may transmit your personal data to contractual service providers for the processing of your purchases and/or e-commerce orders (for example, a carrier).
FERMOB may also collaborate with commercial partners for marketing and Customer relationship management purposes, in order to offer you personalised or non-personalised offers. For this purpose, FERMOB may receive and transmit to its partners any changes you report regarding your personal data, and may receive and transmit non-electronic contact data (postal address) and profile data (excluding personal data) that you provide.
However, such partners are not authorised by FERMOB to use your Data for any purpose other than providing services under contract with FERMOB.
At no time will FERMOB sell or share your personal data with companies whose purpose is prospect acquisition or the sending of commercial solicitations by SMS or email without your consent.
Such transfers are carried out in strict compliance with applicable personal data regulations.
FERMOB undertakes to ensure that the selected partners provide sufficient guarantees to meet the requirements of applicable data protection legislation.
Legal reasons for disclosing your data

Data storage period
Data will be retained by FERMOB for the entire duration of the commercial relationship and for as long as necessary to fulfil the obligations you have requested, to comply with its legal obligations, and to meet the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or to resolve disputes.
FERMOB is also entitled to retain and process Personal Data on the basis of its legitimate interest. It may also retain your Personal Data after you have ceased using FERMOB’s services in accordance with statutory limitation periods.
At the end of this period, FERMOB undertakes to irreversibly delete all documents and files containing the Data.
However, Personal Data necessary to comply with legal and regulatory obligations or to preserve evidence of respective rights and obligations will be retained by FERMOB.
Data relating to purchases enabling profiling, in particular for marketing purposes, will be retained for a limited period in accordance with the maximum duration authorised by law. At the end of this period, the Data will be irreversibly deleted.
In any event, at the end of each retention period, Personal Data will be irreversibly deleted.
Data security and confidentiality
FERMOB takes all necessary measures to ensure the protection, confidentiality and security of personal data transmitted to it, in compliance with applicable legal provisions, in particular through the implementation of technical and organisational measures designed to prevent unauthorised use, disclosure, interception or damage.

Your rights
In accordance with applicable regulations, you have:
