The outdoor spaces of the Humboldt-Forum in Berlin: a good example of urban furniture adapted to the project

The Bernese firm BBZ landschaftsarchiteckten called on Fermob for its project to fit out the exterior of the Forum HUMBOLDT, an emblematic building in the centre of Berlin whose renovation has fundamentally altered the structure of this part of the city.

The LUXEMBOURG collection, and its emblematic chair revisited by Frédéric Sofia, can be found in a variety of light, modular aluminium units throughout the district: chair, bridge and low armchair.

The color was custom-designed in collaboration with Fermob's Special Affairs department and chosen to harmonise with the surrounding tree structures.

The architects also wanted to develop an anti-theft solution for the units that would keep the seats mobile while encouraging social interaction. The pieces are therefore linked together by a discreet cable, protecting them from theft while allowing them to be manipulated.
