The Studie Oak chair chosen by Le Pois Gourmand for its high-quality, natural materials

Already a Fermob customer for his home, Guillaume Réveillard has chosen the brand to equip his new restaurant

Une nouvelle adresse gourmande et authentique a vu le jour en périphérie d’Angers, ouvert par Guillaume Réveillard, ancien propriétaire de bistro en centre-ville.

This project is on a different scale, increasing his surface area from 75 to 300 m², and is based on a ‘from seed to plate’ concept in partnership with the neighbouring Ferme de Sainte-Marthe, which cultivates fruit and vegetables cooked by the chef François Xavier Gohard and his team.

To reinforce this approach, the restaurant has been built in the style of a barn, in Douglas fir, and Guillaume has made a point of choosing only high-quality, natural materials: concrete, wood, metal, plants, etc.

When the restaurant owner met with Véronique, a project advisor at Fermob, he discovered that the brand was in fact in the process of developing a series of products for interior design. After receiving two samples, he finally opted for the ‘indoor’ version of the Studie collection, created by the designer Tristan Lohner and inspired by traditional school chairs. Made from oak and aluminium, both natural, lightweight and recyclable materials, Studie furnishes the restaurant with chairs and armchairs for 66 diners, 16 of whom around a large farmhouse-style table.

‘I chose Cactus from among the 24 colours available’, explained Gu‘llaume Réveillard, “and this green then determined the colour code for the whole restaurant. The quality and resistance of the Fermob chairs make them a good investment.

« All feedback on the seating has been positive. It often reminds customers of the simple, fun chairs they had at school. At the end of the meal, I like to ask ‘And how did you find the seating?’, and the answer is always that the chairs are really comfortable, despite being made of wood, which can seem hard at first »
