Roz Marine Thalasso Resort brings sea water treatments back to the pink granite coast
Roz Marine opened in March 2023 after 18 months’ construction works at the site of the former marine spa in Perros-Guirec, which closed after 44 years of service in 2017.
“We wanted a strong concept, something out of the ordinary, but that still preserved the site’s heritage. This includes the decoration in particular, with blocks of pink granite and frescoes by the artist Maurice Denis, who was born in Perros-Guirec. Together, they form the decorative theme of the site, along with traditional Breton furniture and wood carpentry. We needed furniture that would fit perfectly into this unique setting.”
Nathalie Martin, general manager of Roz Marine, was already familiar with Fermob products, because the brand had supplied some of the furniture of the establishment in which she worked previously.
The Zen area is located on the ground and first floors of the complex, designed by Bachmann Associés to be a "home open onto the ocean.” All the very best sea water treatments are proposed: hydromassage, scrubs and masks, affusion showers, cryotherapy booths, fitness, etc., as well as the emblematic Marine and Celtic rituals and their various sea water basins.
Nathalie Martin wanted robust but lightweight furniture for the Zen area, and opted for the ALIZE collection in Clay Grey, which corresponds perfectly to the traditional but contemporary style of the establishment: “The ALIZE sunloungers are designed to resist our damp, warm and salty environment, which is very important.”
They are made from Batyline outdoor technical fabric, a product by Serge Ferrari, leading supplier on the French market. The water repellent fabric receives an anti-fungal and anti-stain treatment, making it very easy to clean.
The aluminium structure and built-in wheels make it easy for guests in the Marine area to move them around and the five different positions for the footrests and backs offer a full range of relaxing positions, including the “0 gravity” posture recommended by medical specialists that imitates weightlessness.
Between land and sea, opposite Trestraou beach, Roz Marine wanted to “propose a new sea water treatment offer to meet new customer expectations, particularly those of families and local residents, without neglecting the needs of its more traditional clientèle.”
